pm_if_no_articles for TXP
January 5th, 2007 by Thomas JosephThe first bit of code from publishmedia.info to be made available to others was the pm_if_no_articles plugin for Textpattern - initially released on December 17th. This is a simple plugin which counts the number of articles in a given category and provides conditional tags which you can use to show or hide elements of your site based on whether there are zero or more than zero articles in the category.
Originally made available on December 19th, version 0.2 of the plugin which includes extensive help documentation is available below. For full details and help with usage (plus an alternate and always up-to-date download link) please see the pm_if_no_articles page on the Texpattern Resources site.
Encoded plugin: pm_if_no_articles_v02.txt
PHP code: pm_if_no_articles_v02.phpx
This plugin has only been tested with Textpattern version 4.0.3.

Any idea what it would take to make this plugin compatible with Textpattern version 4.0.5? Can somebody confirm this? My problem, may also be that I’ve articles in a specific category BUT are also in different sections. Could an option to check for sections also be another option available? Thank you.

Wheat - pm_if_no_articles will be tested on, and updated to work with, the most recent version of Textpattern as soon as I have some spare time - things are pretty hectic at the moment.
I will also bear in mind your suggestion of having the option to check for the existence of articles within a section as a possible feature for a future release.
Thanks for your interest.
